These big yellow onions grow well in our micro climate. These golden onions produce fruit up to 1 lb (16 oz.) and their great flavor lasts longer than most other varieties. All cooked onions add flavors from tang to sweetness, and raw onions also offer a bit of crunch!
They grow larger than white onions and develop a sweeter flavor when cooked. We like them best for grilling and using as a caramelized onion.
It tastes good in culinary dishes, such as rosemary chicken and lamb, but it is also a good source of iron, calcium, and vitamin B-6.
